Peter Wheeler

I built RADAR: the method, the software that runs it, and the book that teaches it. People are using it now.

I built it because I kept watching capable people lose rooms they should have owned. Not for lack of ability. For lack of language for the ability.

The crayon

I have been recruited, head hunted, and told the job was mine before I had filled in anything. Every time, I still had to submit an application and a resume, so that the system had a record of me it could track.

Nobody reviewed them. I know this because I used to send a PDF with my name hand written on it in crayon. Not once did a single person mention it. The only time anyone said anything about my materials was when a hiring team or a panel had already got curious about me and went looking.

The application was never the evaluation. It is the flag you plant after the work is done.

That is a funny story and it is also the whole argument. If the artifact is not what moves you, then rewriting the artifact for the ninth time is not a strategy. What moved was that somebody could say what I was worth, out loud, in a room I was not standing in.

Almost nobody is taught how to make that possible. You are taught to fix your resume. So the people who most deserve the room spend their evenings polishing the one document in the process that was already ignored.

Who I am, flatly

Serial entrepreneur, and a proud failpreneur. I joke that I have worked in every industry except caves and horses, and the range is only useful for one thing: it helps me relate to more people. It does not make me better and it does not make me right.

One of the things people hire me for, and hate me for, is being a systems thinker. RADAR is what came out when I pointed that at careers instead of at revenue.

I am also neurodivergent.

An extrovert who shipped with an introvert's charging cable.

That is not a disclosure, it is the reason this is a system rather than a pep talk. Systems thinking is how I get anywhere at all, and building one for this was self-defense before it was a product.

Moving into a role is hard work and it is exhausting for anyone. It is worse if you are wired the way I am. I have watched capable neurodivergent people hit a ceiling at one title and stay there for a decade, or move in and out of work for years, and it is almost never about whether they could do the job. It is about a room that decides in fifteen minutes and a process that never asks the question you could answer.

Some of us do not believe everything needs saying out loud. Some of us are certain there is never enough context. Both get read as the wrong thing in that fifteen minutes, and neither one is a competence problem. Knowing what you have and being able to say it plainly is worth more to us than to anybody, because we get less benefit of the doubt while we work it out in the room.

I do not guarantee results. Anyone who guarantees results is selling snake oil. What I will tell you is that this is real work, and that nothing in the product writes a word about you that you did not prove first.

How this is put together

Revelocity is the legal entity over all of it, and it is the publisher of RADAR.

CHAOSAiGENT is the venture studio beneath it. It makes the products.

RADAR is a book and system by Peter Wheeler, published by Revelocity. It is the thing this site is about.

Positions I will not move off

Nothing in here scores you.

No composite, no percentage, no badge, no number out of ten attached to a person. The Clarity Spectrum marks the proof: a line, a piece of evidence, a role, a thing you made. Ranking a career is not fair, and the book says so before the product gets a chance to.

Nothing writes over you.

RADAR drafts. You decide. Keep a draft unedited and the product says so on your own material, permanently, and carries that mark onto every line derived from it. Edit one word and it becomes yours.

AI as accommodation is good. AI as volume is scum.

I encourage anyone who needs the support to use AI to make their own work clearer. As a neurodivergent person, being organized and concise is a genuine win I get from it. What I detest is the rinse-and-repeat content trash agency. The machine assists the drafting. It never supplies the position.

This is not HR tech.

We are not gaming applicant tracking systems and we are not matching resumes to job descriptions with keywords. That does not work, everyone does it, and the systems know it. Similar words, nothing in common with what this is.

Rolevelocity is not bait.

It is free because tracking is less than table stakes, and charging for it would be an inaccurate valuation. It has no clock on it, and it does not get worse to make RADAR look better.

I want you gone.

Every other platform in this category does better while your search drags on. Mine does not. The measure of this working is that you stop needing it.

The book has voices in it that are not mine.

I wrote the book and designed the method. Practitioners who live on a particular channel wrote that part from inside it, and every one of them is named.
